Details:
Lilac Ambush is pleased to present its fifth release, Arsenal, a full length CD. Ten original songs that will provide a shot of life to tired ears. Arsenal takes the listener from an updated glam rocker like "Radium" to an industrial dance crusher with "Tension (Blue Sky Mix)." Add to the cauldron "Heartache" with its epic gothic feel and "Virtual" which drives the 80s into a mysterious future and you will hear Lilac Ambush break free from textbook definitions and formulas.

Formed in 2001, Lilac Ambush's four prior EP releases have caught the attention of underground music fans. The Boston-area duo is comprised of Spleen Ecq and Mark Knudsen. Mark handles the vocals and Spleen the guitars; everything else is up for grabs.

A sample of the world wide press that Lilac Ambush has received:

"...the hyped-up Ian Curtis-meets-KMFDM aggro dance/rock sound...proves that these guys are intent on moving far beyond the 'retro' tag...Lilac Ambush have their sights set high...and I admire that they transcend tags like 'goth' or 'industrial' and seem to be working in their own unique direction. I, for one, am anxious to see where the next release takes them. Superb work!"

Todd Zachritz, Godsend Online

"...quality post-punk from those fine chaps over at Lilac Ambush...Really quite splendid...[Endless Dawn] joins Unreal in the notional called 'Songs which damn well ought to be solid gold floor-fillers in any right-thinking universe.'...Good stuff once again from the Lilacs...and another corking EP that's well worth the money."
"I'd imagine the youth will have heard nothing like it - there's no shouting, no evidence of baseball caps...It's splendid, ear-unclogging stuff...Give it a listen."

J 'Hirez' H-R, Legends Online

"Inventive melodies and clever sounds abound...from Love & Rockets, to Soft Cell and Wall of Voodoo, Lilac Ambush effectively merges the dark goth trappings with eighties new-wave pop sensibilities...."

Joel Simches, The Noise Magazine

With fans spanning the globe from Peru to Belgium to Romania to Detroit, MI the band must be doing something right. Join the "in" crowd and help Lilac Ambush in their quest for world domination, one CD at a time.
