SinTax is the second solo album by Wishnefsky, who led the alternative band Jabberwock in the 90s.

SinTax combines alternative rock with electronica, at times suggesting such diverse influences as Radiohead, Thomas Dolby, and Michael Brook. Wishnefsky conjures unique, ethereal soundscapes over powerful grooves; humanity floating in a sea of technology. Wishnefskyâs voice has a rich timbre remindful of Elvis Costello and his melodies imply Mark Eitzel.

Lyrically, the songs on SinTax address one of the seven deadly sins: avarice. Wishnefsky spins tales about the participants on both sides of the table: the givers and the takers , and the dichotomy we all feel when confronted with equations containing both happiness and materialism. Wishnefsky takes us for a ride through places where greed governs and the characters struggle to overcome, or finally succumb to, their lust for riches.

Besides writing and producing all the songs, Wishnefsky provided vocals, guitars, bass, keyboards, and programming.

Michael James (Hole, Janeâs Addiction, Too Much Joy, New Radicals) mixed SinTax. Michael also played guitar on Lot Line Adjustment and Oh.

Eric Sands of the progressive rock band Man On Fire played fretless bass on the song Oh.

Sophie Wellen sang back up vocals on Bait and Switch.

The CD artwork features the work of two award-winning photographers: Serena Wellen and Ed Nahin.

Wishnefskyâs first solo album, Use Your Words, is a digital only release and available on CD Baby and iTunes.

Wishnefsky also fronts the band Veneer, a side project for his piano based music. Earlier in 2008, Veneer released On That Note, which is also available at CD Baby.
