Lisasmith is a singer/songwriter from New York. Her song, "For All I Am" is the theme song to "Moody's Point" from Nickelodeon's The Amanda Show, watched by millions of kids every week. In addition to "Moody's Point", her music can be heard on Nickelodeon's latest show "Zoey 101", staring Jamie Lynn Spears. Future episodes of the hit show "Drake & Josh" will also feature music from Lisasmith.
Lisasmith has appeared on several music compilation discs, including the 2002 Listen, Learn and Groove Volume 3 CD, released by the Femalemusician.com. "My Radio History" was chosen as the opening musical track.
Lisasmith's music has appeared in several independent movies, including the horror flick "Naked Fear" and the gangster film "West New York", starring Frank Vincent (Goodfellas, Raging Bull), Gian DiDonna (Alive, The Funeral), Victor Colicchio (Goodfellas, Summer of Sam) and Vinny Pastore (The Sopranos, Carlito's Way). Lisasmith is currently in the studio working on songs for the soundtrack to a new indie film called "Mattie Fresno and the Holoflux Universe" due to release in the summer of 2005
Selections from her last CD, "The Plight of a Rejected Girl" are included in the score of the play, "True Story", (www.truestorytheplay.com), which premiered in indie theaters in L.A.
Lisasmith will be releasing her next CD, "Spirit of '76" in the summer of 2005.
