Details:
"Let Go," is a mix of pop, ballads, a little blues, soft country, and even a traditional folk song, all woven together with one incredible voice.

The album starts out with two pop songs, "I Miss You" and the title song, "Let Go," which preclude the entire 45 minutes of recorded entertainment. Krissy and her producer, Toronto's Michal Bandak, collaborated on writing and mixing different music styles to match the lyrics the duo created. Bandak's musical skills shine through on piano, harmonica, and acoustic and electric guitar, which all support Krissy's broad range of singing styles is aparant in this vibrant, but never over-powering, collage of sounds and images.

Of particular note is "The Soldier" which expresses the emotions of those fighting for our country today and in the past. This pure folk song throws back to a different time and a different place, reminiscent of Judy Collins in purity, form, and message.

While many artists today tend to present albums that are so homogenous in sound that all the songs blend together, "Let Go" mixes light blues, soft jazz, folk, and light country with the ballads so that the album is incredibly listenable. Because Krissy's vocal skills allow her to function equally well in both high and low ranges, the listener is given a completely different set of tones and melodies than are normally not presented by one artist. Those who have auditioned "Let Go" say that Krissy sounds like a mix of Sarah Mclaughlin, Dido, and the late Eva Cassidy (which isn't bad company!)
