Paradise Trail is a blend of acoustic and electric rock and folk filled with intricately layered melodies, driving chords, and funky rhythms. Marc Lionetti's songs swing in mood, from barefoot in your living room to lit up at a stadium, with songwriting that is simultaneously comfortable and challenging. His positive, down-to-earth lyrics depict people with a closeness that makes you want to meet them, and his stories inspire introspection. Paradise Trail might feel familiar if you thought that Marc simply wrote the music and sang at the head of a 5 piece band. The album takes on quite a different feel, however, when you realize that he played almost every track on every song, and recorded the entire thing in his own home. It's okay to relax and forget that it's all just one man, though. Marc won't mind.
