Benjafield,s first album âFull Circleâ was composed by Don Bate with lyrics shared between Don and some guest writers, and Co produced by Don and Simon Reid. Now on the eve of its second self titled release âBenjafieldâ is still produced by Don, but the feel is more collaborative with songs written by Simon, Kelly and Don. This natural evolution as a truly collaborative live performance band gives individuals the chance to bring their strengths to the fore. A distillation of Benjafield's blend of influences is occurring. The result is an energetic concoction of pop,funk,dub,and generally toe tapping grooves with overtones of jazz and electronica, which showcases the versatility and eclectic backgroung of members of the band.
