The style in music and art i believe i create is very inquisitive and sphinx-like.(in definition being shapeless), this record in particular has a big yin yang concept behind it. the lyrics being the yin at times and the beat being the yang at time. There

I am a Dallas based artist born in Phoenix, Arizona but Dallas is my home. I was born in Phoenix because my family emigrated here from Mexico City. They moved because my father is a Christian minister in a Catholic country. One of my brothers once told me that he remembers Catholics trying to burn our house down and they would harass them. Such acts made my parents move to the states. I was then born in Phoenix and for whatever reason we moved. My sister has told me that we once lived in Oklahoma City but I was too young to recollect that. All I know is Dallas. I have never been to Arizona. With a father as a minister itâs very hard to have a personality. As a child I was always assisting or helping. I learned to put people first before myself. My parents also always had these little suites for me to wear that had bows. I wasnât able to talk or speak when I was young because I am a flamboyant person. So I was silent most of the time around my family. Not being able to talk starts to awaken your other senses. I learned how to observe. Once I started to get into my teen years I was a rebellious person. I would fight my brothers and leave my house for days. When I was 13, my parents divorced and I took advantage of this because there wasnât someone watching over me. Even though I am not Christian it was taught to me. So this is where I gained an understanding of the light or a higher source. I am grateful to have had this understanding be given to be very young. I spent all of my teen years reading different holy books and doing drugs. When I was 14, I had a friend who was a good singer and wanted to record with a sister of hers that was a dj. She knew I was an artist and wrote poetry so she asked for me to write songs for her. First, since youth my artist side was always hidden because of my flamboyance. All my art was always destroyed for being flamboyant. Since I have had to hide my art it became very personal to me and hard to let one see. It took a lot of me to write for her. I had to learn to write songs and music. This was my first look into the music world. Once I became involved I fell in love. I knew this was a type of art I wanted in my life. I did this for a short period of time since she no longer wanted to pursue music. I wanted to but was very hard since I was young. Since I couldnât further my music I went back to my spiritual hunger. I became a vegetarian at 15. Once I was in high school it was very difficult for me since I knew I wanted to be a professional artist and my family wouldnât like it. I tried to find an interest they would approve but failed. The day I told my family I was going to make art for a living I heard all kinds of responses. They told me I would fail, no money in that carrier, that the day I was successful was the day I die. That just gave me more fuel to be upset at them. I ended up getting kicked out of school which allowed me to focus on art. I began a strict study of kundalini yoga and put myself on a strict diet. I did this for a year writing songs, I wrote 17 in total. At the time I didnât think I had a record I was simply doing what made me happy. After that year I was determined to find someone to record with it took almost a year. I worked with rappers, producers, other singers and I couldnât find someone who had an idea of what I was trying to do. Some people told me to stop trying or it wouldnât work. I didnât listen and began to get desperate so I just called up studios in the phone book. I found BPL that way. I met Nolan and he liked my work. Under: Back Inside Gaia was a great project for us. Since we didnât know each other it took awhile for things to start rolling but we found a pattern and it was a snowball effect. I have a better idea now of the direction I want to take with my sound and style. I want people to grow with me. I want people to find a connection to me as a human and relate their life struggles to my life struggles. I want people to find equilibrium between them and I threw my art. To make a connection between us and show that together we are mankind is one of my goals. I believe my music is enlightening yet aggressive and passive at the same time. I am always learning and educating myself which I believe I incorporate in my music. So I hope people can learn more about themselves threw myself expression.
