HEY MODS AND MINIS, THIS JUST IN...
TH' LOSIN STREAKS TAKE THE LEFT COAST BY STORM!!!
Without a doubt this years (or any year) answer to all our prayers. Garage rock played the way it should be played...Loud, fierce, uncompromised neanderthal sludge without all the usual retro-isms. Think The Sonics meets Texas punk circa '66. A veritable non-stop cacophony of mind numbing over the top maniacal mayhem, without a blooze lick to be found. A sound not heard in these parts since Ronny Regan walked the hallowed halls of Sacramento's state capitol building as guv'nor. SOUNDS OF VIOLENCE treds where no band in recent memory has dared to tred. Take HATE for instance. A song so revered by lonesome losers the world over that no band in their right mind would ever attempt to cover it, let alone slay it . WRONG!!! Th' Losin Streaks make it their own baby!!! The Stoics will be proud papas when they get to hear this. Tough chicks everywhere will go ape make over the in your face "me Tarzan you Jane" jungle grunt Tim Foster delivers on YOUR LOVE, NOW. And ya just gotta check out the razor thin, cuts you like a knife vocals of lead guitarist Mike Farrell on FINE LINE. A song so immediate and in your face that it'll have you picking the shards of this metallic K.O. out of your pretty little arses for days. And let's not forget the glue that holds these wild men together, The rhythm section of Steady Stan Tindall on Bass and The Creeper himself, Matt K. Shrugg on skins. Listen to them on MAYBE I WILL and witness the tightness and sheer brutality that'll demand your full attention for years to come. Oh, and let's not forget the belo-fi TRIED TO TELL which boldy unfurls it's Wally Tax Outsider Nederbeit greatness for all you unsuspecting fellows to wallow in while slitting your wrists and screaming... I AM NOT WORTHY, I AM NOT WORTHY!!! From the initial blast o' BEG, STEAL OR BORROW to the last distorto thud of THE END, you'll be scatching your collective butts in total disbelief. The new world order has reared it's ugly little head in the form of 4 young lads outta Sacto. Ca. Destroying and laying waste any and all watering holes in their path. For the next 36:34 do not touch your tone arms, TH' LOSIN STREAKS have assumed control. You won't be able to stop 'em, and you can only hope to contain 'em. And beg for mercy from THE SOUNDS OF VIOLENCE!!! Coming soon to a rubber room near you.
