Folk pop rock with a hint of Dylan.
11 MP3 Songs
FOLK: Folk Pop, ROCK: Folk Rock
Details:
Find My Way, as the title implies, is about self discovery. Vancouver born singer songwriter Lori-ann Latremouille is better known for her large sensual surrealist charcoal drawings. She has exhibited her work extensively over the past decade and is represented in galleries and museums throughout the Pacific Northwest. This is her first recording and as with her artwork she has done it independently. In her own words "Experience is the best teacher" and that is clear on this streetwise recording.
From the soul searching title track 'Find my Way' to the heartfelt 'Alcoholic Bullmake,' Latremouille's lyrics come through. 'In His Arms,' 'Bulldozing Machine,' and 'Cheap Hotel' are more upbeat and reveal one of Latremouille's major influences, folk giant Bob Dylan.
Honest and straight ahead, this record is worth a listen.
