Details:
LV, otherwise known as Linda Vaccaro is originally from New York, and was formerly singer with The Pinups, a band put together by Marshall Chess of the famous Chicago blues record label, Chess Records. In LA, renowned classical violinist Erika Syroid introduced LV to her next-door-neighbor, John Heaney. Johno's guitar playing turned out to be just the right flavor for LV, and there sprouted the Monster Lovedog... hence the Lovedogs. Johno brought in his friend Adam Gust, the heaven-sent drummer who actually watches LV's breath to time his intros, and long-time friend Ted Falcon, who graced us with his talents on violin and mandolin on several tracks. Adam introduced us to Dan Lutz's fantastic bass playing. When Dan played 'She's in Love With Him', he sang it throughout the session admitting he couldn't get it out of his head. LV has a special flavor to her songs... they are all very easy to live with, and they're the kind of songs that you'll love after just one listen. LV's collaborations with partner Johno unfold rather naturally and evolve into songs and stories that have attracted many listeners and fans. According to Richie Gallo, of Universal Music Group, "LV has a style all her own, with glimpses of Janis Joplin, and even a young Etta James".
