"Journey to Forgiveness"
By Lynn Geyer with Ron Zabrocki and Michael Zabrocki

"Journey to Forgiveness", a guided meditation, is an examination of conscience based upon the Stations of the Cross. Included in the program is a full length CD to be used for meditation after each reading. The music is meant to enhance reflection on the challenge posed by each reading and the text is written in youthful dialogue on the message of forgiveness and reconciliation. It questions our behavior and opens our eyes to the ways we live, asking us to assume responsibility for those actions. While this program is geared to youth and young adults, it can be used in the general parish for Friday night services during Lent or as a special service by prayer groups and other ministries at any other time of the year. The 15th Station, The Resurrection, is included. The devotional/CD may also be used for personal prayer and meditation.

There are 17 songs on the CD which is entitled, "Quiet Here With You" and the vocals were done by Lynn Geyer, Ron Zabrocki and Mike Zabrocki. The opening song "Spirit Song" invokes the Holy Spirit to cover us in all we do and the next 15 songs are reflections after each station is read. The closing song is a song of thanksgiving for the blessed Trinity created in the death and rising of Jesus in the Holy Spirit.

The music is all meditative in nature. The songs vary in style ranging from simple solos such as "Only in God" written by John Michael Talbot, using Michael Zabrocki's vocal with only piano accompaniment to Ron Zabrocki's solo rendition of Tom Booth's "Be With Me, Lord" with a gospel-like chorus. There are many favorites such as "Be Not Afraid" and "Lord, When You Came" (also known as "The Pescador Song") and "Hail Mary, Gentle Woman". A number of original songs written by Catholic independent songwriters were chosen for their relationship to the message of a particular reading...Susan Bailey's "Teach Me to Love" which is dedicated to Mother Teresa, is used for the 6th Station where Veronica wipes the face of Jesus. The title track "Quiet Here With You" written by Lynn Geyer and Mark Godwin, encourages us to sit before the Lord, awed by the knowledge that Jesus is within us. "....of all the places You could dwell, You choose to live in me."

The prayerful nature of "Journey to Forgiveness" offers an opportunity to take a look inside of ourselves and make some adjustments. It helps us to see the flaws of our humanity by consciously examining them and then offers the solution....simple faith in the Lord. In His death and rising, Jesus proves what Scripture clearly tells us, that all things are possible with God.
