Details:
Machine Love is a down-tempo electronica band from San Francisco. Their music has been described as ambient groove, sexy chill-out, and electronica soul. The Machine Love signature sound combines loops, samples, turntables, and a laptop with live electric guitar, keyboards, and vocals to create an atmosphere that you can either ease back and get into or get up and groove with.

Machine Love's influences include psychedelic, lounge, jazz, funk, and rock artists such as Fila Brazilia, Visit Venus, Air, Pink Floyd, Cocteau Twins, Herbie Hancock, Porcupine Tree, and Miles Davis. Here's what some reviewers have said:

"...their imagination seems to know no bounds... they have a fantastic collection of ambient music...and every one is a gem of a production and flowing with creative ideas... I think these guy's are amazing writers of ambient music...." -- X-eption Radio

"This is just straight-up 'Booty-music', kinda like updated porno-funk...but better" -- ElectronicScene

"Rhythm of the Devil, Voice of an Angel - This paints a beautiful portrait of rainy days and bank holidays spent with loved ones. The future sound of downtown without the bother of babble. Love the voice, it melts like cold ice cream on hot-flesh. A true cornerstone of any music collection big or small." Review of the track "Midnight World" - GarageBand.com Review

"One of a kind - Very unique and well-chosen synth sounds to begin the song. Even listeners who are normally turned off by techno influence will appreciate the extremely original tones in this track. The mixing and overall production is fantastic: the parts that take center stage are distinct and incisive, and the other parts, the best example being the bass, comfortably sit in their own frequencies in such a way that they're clearly discernable without interfering with the audibility of the other instruments. Mostly importantly, it sounds great. The most difficult question to answer about this song is who does it sound like. In all honesty, I have never heard anything that sounded quite like this. It's easy to find music that sounds like its from the past, but very rare to find songs that sound like they're from the future. This song belongs to the less common latter category. - Review of the track "Stoner Girl" - GarageBand.com Review
