Details:
Like most people, I modify recordings of everyday life with synthesizers and samplers (see the list below). The resulting music sounds like someone lying awake at night, trying to find a good station on the radio. Musical influences are many, but include Coil, Nurse with Wound and The Hafler Trio. Influences from life include (but are not limited to) phlebotomy, autopsy, clinical research, frame drums and gear acquisition.

Ampersand Et Cetera v2.6
"A satisfying, short direct musical experience."

Last Sigh
"This EP is a nice introduction to this band, if a little strange at times.. "

Dead Angel #41
"It's very hard to get a handle on where Maenad's coming from -- the influences aren't terribly obvious, which is intriguing."

Sunoloco
" ...and the screams you hear are only in your mind, seeping across from the murky chambers of your unconscious."

Flux Europa 8/2000
"This recording cunningly documents a descent into madness."

Starvox #14
"For all intents and purposes, Flowers For Solomon is a mind puzzle that could create some interesting conversations and conjectures."

FREQ Music E-zine
"This is deep listening echomania, slightly disturbing, hard to listen to without flicking back memories of unsettled, unstructured nightmares where the threats are more imagined than perceived."

Vital Weekly #226
" No harsh angle involved, but there's an overall unsettling atmosphere, like waiting for an enormous outburst that isn't coming."

Incursion Music Review 009
"Vocal cut-ups and manipulations lend themselves to a very eerie soundtrack, like you've just entered the surreal nightmare of some radio-surfing Christian fanatic (or skeptic, depending on your perspective)."
