With their energetic shows, dedicated fans and DIY mentality, Mappari has proved to be one of Boston's hottest independent bands.
Since the release of "High Enough to Notice" (Wheelkick, 2001), Mappari has seen attendance at shows grow at a rapid pace. Including a street-team consisting of 175 people in the New England area alone.
With their latest release, "The Firecracker EP" (Wheelkick 2003), Mappari has been the subject of talk concerning movie soundtracks (Disney and MGM), as well as musical inclusion on an upcoming Showtime series produced by Spike Lee.
According to Will Dailey (Lead Vocals/Guitar), "...this CD and band is a reminder to record label conglomerates that great bands, music and products aren't made by companies or factories - They're made with heart, fortitude, a true fan base and most of all..."
Then he started to cry - and seconds later passed out.
