Details:
A folk journeyman peering through every window, filling the tank and smelling the breakfast, Matt Baker rolled out of the Midwest and began the creation of his songwriting character. Tasting the tastes of all the American dirt borne foods, liquors, and women, his heart seized then burned, his blood boiled then grew cold, he flew outside of his dreams then fell into graves and parleyed with ghosts. The shoes stayed in the mud in Chicago, though the crowes had followed him from Atlanta, Dallas, Vegas, Los Angeles, and Portland. Music, stories, and experiences rolled at him and out of him like wheat germ. Drop a penny, make a wish.

This freshman CD maps out the stops along Matt Baker's emotional and musical ride, from college in 1992 to his years on the highway to his dark club hours through 2003. Expect more to come. The train hit him but he's still ridin' the rails.
