With an emphasis on vocal harmonies divulging honest and raw lyrics, Rocker's music offers a boost of high-energy, guitar-driven rock. Comparisons have been made to early Elvis Costello, Weezer and Jason Falkner, with Rufus Wainright's lyricism.

Thanks to the famous Rocker Guarantee - at least one new song at every gig - no live performance will ever be the same as the next. With the conflicted chemistry of ex-girlfriend Sara Shaoul, comes an added dimension to live performances not heard on the album. The rest of Rocker's constituents complete the group dynamic including: Angela Webster, drums; Tommy Borscheid, bass; and Greg Beshers, rhythm guitar. Live shows have also featured video projections by New York artists, including the visionary Matthew Barney.

Starting his career as a song-writer for a singing telegram service, Matt would later receive a Masters degree in music from NYU. Heavily influenced by musician parents, he went on to contribute to the Academy Award winning musical score of Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers; wrote music for the 2002 Winter Olympics; and has conducted his own orchestral compositions at New York's Lincoln Center.

That diversity might explain why David Byrne was spotted in the audience at the New York debut of the new band, while the same night Matt's song "Pickmeup" was heard in the series finale of NBC's hit show "Ed". With several projects released to date, Rocker prepares for the release of his full-length, solo-debut album "Being, Human" where he transforms himself into a one-man band: writing, singing and playing all instruments.
