Details:
I grew up listening to all kinds of music, so my music is basically a distillation of those influences.

You hear hints of hip-hop, classical, ambient, acoustic, rock, avant-garde, synth-pop, and jazz. The music crosses all sorts of genres.

I'm always looking for a good groove via layered beats and rhythms, melodies and counter-melodies, as well as odd sounds which work good within the piece of music I'm creating.

While I've played various instruments for years, I started creating my own music in 2000. Generally, I prefer to use pre-recorded pieces (loops) as well as intregrating "found sound" I've recorded and treated. Everything is mixed together using my computers.

My goals for music are fairly simple: I just make something that I like. Quite often, I'll put out a track as a "free MP3" and, as in the instance my album The Driver's Companion, I'll go to the expense of getting the music mastered and put out an album for sale. I don't expect to recoup my costs or sell truckloads of CDs, although that would be nice. Just getting the music out and hearing all the positive feedback is enough for me.
