Details:
The Mary album recorded in 1991 with John Wright (NoMeansNo) and Cecil English (many production credits).

The classic MARY line-up of John Jansen (drums and stuff), John Maxwell (bass and stuff), and Deviant (guitar and stuff), came together early in 1989 after original member Michael Lewis left to pursue an acting career.

After releasing the 3-song Roy's Head in the spring of 1989, the band was playing regularly in Vancouver (including opening for acts such as Bad Religion, D.O.A., L7, Lemonheads, NoMeansNo, Sons of Freedom, Swans, Alice Donut, Art Bergmann, Coffin Break, etc.) MARY toured Canada and the Pacific Northwest in 1991 and was featured on a Much Music segment before Maxwell left the band early in 1992 to pursue other interests. Jansen and Deviant continued with other bass players for several months before shelving the band indefinately.

In the fall of 1998, an impromptu studio session errupted when Jansen, Maxwell, and Deviant crossed paths in Chicago, the result surfacing as The Ressurection Session a year later (named after the Buahaus reunion show that Jansen and Deviant had seen the night preceeding the first day of the session).
