Jackie just got the lead role of an MGM movie to be filmed this June and July in Los Angeles.

The movie is about 4 teens from different cultures that meet in LA and become stars. Jackie plays the role of the Hispanic girl and the challenges of moving to LA to become famous.

The movie is being produced by Bob Marcucci. Marcucci successfully guided such teen stars as Frankie Avalon and Fabian to fame. MGM's movie, "The Idolmaker," was based on the life of personal manager Bob Marcucci.

Jackie has just signed with Bob Marcucci, President/CEO of Chancellor Entertainment. A role she captured without even trying out for the part. According to Marcucci, thousands of girls tried out for the role, but none were of his expectations. Then he received Jackie's demo cd sent to him by Nikki Pederson of Nikki Pederson Talent in Texas. Marcucci took one look at Jackie's beautiful face, petite figure and gorgeous thick, dark hair. He knew he found his future superstar. Then came the bonus. Jackie could sing. Marcucci went on to say that when he gets done with Jackie, she's going to blow everybody on American Idol away.

Songwriter and Recording Artist, Jackie Martinez wrote and recorded her first single, "Waiting" at the age of 14. Shortly after, she was trained by Nikki Pederson for the IMTA Convention in 2002. At the 2002 IMTA Convention in Los Angeles, Jackie won awards for her singing and print work.

Right after the Convention, Jackie signed with Marc Robinson of Robinson Productions in LA. She left Sharyland High School (Mission, Texas) in the spring of her sophomore year and moved to Studio City, CA. There she finished the year at North Hollywood High School. Now, due to her rigorous schedule, she has private teachers.

Within days of moving to LA, Jackie auditioned for print modeling work and was selected right away. She also auditioned for film and television roles, but the interest wasn't there. Jackie's heart was in the recording studio. Then by the end of 2002, Jackie caught the ear of Music Producer and Lead Rocker of LA's hottest rock band, "Lowfive," Nik Frost. In January of 2003, she collaborated with Nik Frost and started a demo CD.
