Matt's music is hard to catagorize because it draws from different genres. Growing up in West Texas, he was influenced by gospel and country music, but his love for pop, rock, r&b and jazz has caused his music to evovle into a more marketable sound. "Wide Open" is a piano based project showing a variety of musical and lyrical styles. Matt shows his diversity as a musician by playing virtually all the instruments on the album, as well as writing and producing all the songs. Matt is now sharing time between New York City, and San Antonio, Texas.
