Michael was born in the south and was influenced by local favorites the Allman Brothers as well as Bob Dlyan, the Beatles, and modern acts like Ben Harper and the Dave Matthews Band. He moved to California as a young man and began writing songs informed by his southern roots with unique lyrical points of view. After forming the band Primitive Magic, he wrote and recorded an album of alternative rock, "Miracle", which was released in an independent label Dreansong Records. The one country song on the album, "Georgia Clay", a touching ode to Michael's late father, was selectedfor radio promotion and went on to become a regional hit on country stations throughout Georgia. Shortly afterward, Michael began work on his solo album "Dog Eat Dog" which was painstakingly recorded in analog using vintage microphones and pre-amps. Michael and producer Bruce Monical utilized the talents of some of the best studio musicans in Hollywood, mixing down at Capitol Studios and mastered at the Mastering Lab. The resulting album is an amazing collection of Michael's one of a kind Americana presented in styles ranging from rock and blues to country and folk rock.

Michael is currently preparing for upcoming showcase performances in the Southern California area.
