Hi everybody....
Okay, so here is the recent news....
Only four copies left of Simple Songs and it may reside forever after that as downloads only.
In about a month, everything will be finished for "Living Rooms and Rooftops"...our live recordings from this summer.
12-14 tracks including live versions of a few "Simple Songs" but mostly new songs that the live crowds from this summer definitely enjoyed. Near the end of the album will be outtakes and a few "on the spot" jam sessions. I can confidently say that it is well worth hearing.
Simple Songs About Complicated Things was my first album. It was recorded at my old apartment in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, mastered by Daniel G. at Dependable Flow Records and the graphic design was done by Tomo Mori at shaolinmambo.com.
It was released in late December of 2003 with the help of some good friends and a case of Ravenswood Zinfandel.
Each track is a "one timer", no cuts, no edits. It felt a lot more honest and real to keep it that way.
Each song is also available for downloading at iTunes, MusicMatch, DiscLogic, Napster, AudioLunchbox, and many other online digital stores.
About me...
I teach 4-8 grade band, percussion, and guitar at a public school on Manhattan's Lower East Side. I play my own music whenever time and opportunity allows.
