Mike Bryant was born in Raleigh, North Carolina where he came from a very musical family. Mike started writing poetry very young and wrote his first song at age 11. He won his first talent contest in the first grade, and an award for songwriting in the 9th grade. At age 15 Mike performed on three local television shows. He also started singing regularly at a Saturday night barn dance.
During high school, he played electric bass and rhythm guitar and sang lead vocals & harmony in his first band. After finishing high school, he entered the military for 6 years, during which time he sang and played with bands in the United States,Germany, Switzerland and England. After the military service, Mike was a member of two different bands on the coast of North Carolina.
Mike relocated to Nashville, Tennessee in late summer of 1996 to pursue a songwriting career.In November 1996, Mike had his first songs published and another artist recorded one of his songs. He has since recorded two albums, a Christmas album and a country gospel album. He is a member of BMI/Nashville, The Gospel Musical Association and The Country Music Association.
