In 1995 critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Kevin McKrell met Winfield banjo champion Chris Leske and nationally renowned flatpick guitarist Craig Vance. The McKrells went on to play Carnegie Hall Â... The McKrells Carnegie Hall performance was golden and triumphant. Every solo was met with applause, and every song punctuated with a roar... Paul Rapp, Metroland Magazine. They won the prestigious Winterhawk Bluegrass Festival Band Contest, and have shared stages with the top Bluegrass and Celtic performers in the world today, Solas, Altan, Mary Black, Maura O'Connell, The Furey Brothers, Allison Krause, Sam Bush, Francis Black, Allison Brown.
