Shortly after the release of their debut album ("For Hire"), M.D.S. had already collected plenty of new songs to release a brand new EP, but instead they chose to use every outtake they could possibly find from the "For Hire" sessions along with new outtakes to blend in with their new material. "College Dropouts" has the same vibe as Captain Beefheart's "Trout Mask Replica," Sublime's "Robbin' the Hood" and Beck's "Stereopathetic Soulmanure." If you liked "For Hire" you might find that some songs on "College Dropouts" have the same lo-fi feel, but for the most part, this album is one strange but fun trip.
