NOW LET THE RETALIATION BEGIN.
Me1st Entertainment is back...and with a whole new
CD that will blow you away! This time, our friend
R.E.V from the Bay area of California is spotlighted
as the premiere artist to take Indian music to a
whole new level!
"R.E.V. stands for Retaliation of Enemy Vocabulary,"
says the album's producer, Shoney. "After the
release and success of the first album, I received
a lot of criticism from many other Indian artists
that criticized the label with accusations of
going mainstream as well as swaying away from our
loyal fans underground. After listening to the
demo of a guy named Vishal from the Bay area, I
knew he was the perfect artist to revitalize the
Indian music scene and shut these people up. It
was time to go back into the studio to do what Me1st
does best; retaliate." (Hence his name, R.E.V.)
Shoney concludes, "R.E.V. will hit the Indian music
scene with an intensity that no one else has done
before, as his insight on anything and everything
will captivate even the most skeptic listener. Brown,
black or white, no matter what culture or skin color
you have, R.E.V.'s job is to have you associate your
life with his lyrics."
While the others came and disappeared, Me1st never
left. What started as a small record label from
California four years ago has now become one of the
most popular names in the Indian hip-hop underground
music world, and R.E.V. reminds us why. The CD
boasts of its "culturally unique" tracks that made
Me1st famous and also includes guest appearances by
Kanwar as well as the introduction of R.E.V.'s UC San
Diego colleague and lyrical partner in crime, Akshay.
Please note: This album contains explicit lyrics
and is not intended for the sale of minors under
the age of 18 in the United States. The release
date and availability of a clean version has not
yet been set by its producer.
Distributors: Please note that track #10 "It wasn't
me" is currently banned from radio airplay in
four countries including certain parts of India
and Singapore for its mature content and lyrics.
