WHAT WE SAY:

Getting to know Measured Chaos better begins like a favorite recipe. Start with a bit of history and a hefty portion of the Blues. Add a dash of Rock, a taste of Jazz, and a measure of classic R&B. Mix thoroughly and braise the resulting brew on a warm stage. You'll soon discover that you have some real down home cooking for the ears, the eyes and the soul.

A typical show served up by the Michigan based band opens with some tasty and inspired appetizers. Nuggets like Willie Dixon's "You Can't Judge A Book By The Cover", Peter Green's "Oh Well" and a very snaky version of Muddy Waters' "Back Door Man". The main course displays some exhilarating and satisfying originals such as "Six Days Of Sinnin'", the jazzy "Night Ridin'" and the fiery "Spreadin' The News (Not Preachin' The Blues)". The frosting on the cake is the delicious interaction between hot-blooded guitars and passionate vocals. They will leave you wanting more, but you won't go away hungry.

Measured Chaos was formed from the splinters of several well known Detroit area heavyweights. Their unusual name comes from a quote that occurred during an early rehearsal describing how the band ripped through a series of blues-rock classics with reckless abandon. From writing their own brand of rockin' blues to interpreting songs by the masters, one thing is for sure, these guys can really play.

Get to know them better and give the Measured Chaos recipe a try for yourself by checking out their tasty new CD!

"Measured Chaos was a super hit (for me) on that stage. Folks had no idea of what might transpire, and neither did I. However, I have faith in things like measured chaos and metered control. I'm gonna get behind this band big time. What I enjoy about a band like yours is that the passion and energy comes through but it is focused. Like an old guitar teacher of mine used to say...no unnecessary motions...just passion with purpose."
