Carefully crafted Pop/Rock. "Quality" top 40 in the spirit of Radiohead "The Bends", Neil Finn, and Tom Petty.
12 MP3 Songs
POP: 90's Pop, ROCK: 90's Rock
Details:
Recorded at Evan Frankfort's studio (Chicken Toes Productions) Melodine's debut LP entitled Appreciation is being released on Frankfort's Would Work Records.
Guest players include Greg Richling, Rami Jaffee and Mario Calire (The Wallflowers), Fred Eltringham (The Gigalo Aunts) and David Harte (Beck). Influences include Daniel Lanois, Neil Finn, Radiohead, Elvis Costello, Jellyfish.
Based on personal experiences, the collection of songs on Appreciation is predominately of dark subject matter. "Over My Head" takes a glimpse into the final collapse of a nine-year relationship, while "Even" describes Frankfort's account of a car jacking/kidnapping experience he fell victim to. Despite the impact of those experiences, Frankfort's outlook remains optimistic. Hence, the album title.
