"Merkaba" was born two years ago from the remains of three rock bands, "Inner Sanctum," "Claddagh," and the original "Driven."
In this time, "Merkaba" has managed to build up a loyal army of fans in the Tulsa and surrounding areas. In searching for a niche, the band has learned the importance of meaningful music with a message meant to inspire those willing to listen. Drawing on influences such as Tool, A Perfect Circle, Nine Inch Nails, and The Smashing Pumpkins, as well as the original rockers, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, "Merkaba" creates a powerful and melodic environment rich with textures and moody overtones. "Merkaba's" purpose is simple, to create another world and to guide those willing to venture into the unknown.

With their debut album, "Seven" (recorded by Paul Knight at StudioPK Fall/Winter 2003), in hand and a blitzkrieg in full swing, "Merkaba" has nothing but hope for the future of Tulsa and national rock music. Be on the lookout for "Merkaba" LIVE in Tulsa and beyond.
