Bio

Live & Alive on Major records.

No less than Vic Damone told Sandy; "You are the best singer I've heard and I only said that to one other person and that was Steve Lawrence."

With a voice and style that has been compared to Torme, Buble, Bennett, Connick Jr. Damone, and Sinatra ... Sandy prides himself on being a practioner from that particular school of music.

With good reason Sandy is known as a Big Band Singer ... he was the vocalist with Sy Zentner's Orchestra. Sy's hit was "Up A Lazy River."

The son of Opera Singer Mildred Gerber, from whom he received his earliest training, he is a Chicagoan by birth. Making his nightclub debut at the Crown Room in Indianapolis, Sandy has worked nightclubs and private corporate dates throughout the country. In Nashville he was chosen for the part of Tevia in a local production of "Fiddler on the Roof."

Recently his "Christmas in Chicago," kicked off the holiday season at Chicago's Tree Lighting Ceremony with Sandy singing the honors for a beaming Mayor Daley.

The music industry has afforded him the luxury of working with and learning from legends such as Les McCann, Billy Williams of "I'm Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter," fame & Pat Morita who stared in the "Karate Kid." While singing in his hometown, Sandy introduced "For Once in My Life" for the first time on any stage.

Now living in Nashville Sandy sings commercials, records, writes, and performs regularly at various venues around the town. He first recorded for the Variety Record label ... and later had the honor of recording for the Prima record label owned by the great trumpeter/bandleader Louis Prima.
