Slim Harpo often falls through the cracks when players talk about important blues harmonica players of the postwar era, but he had a distinctive approach that has influenced many contemporary players, including Kim Wilson, James Harman, and guitarist Kenny Neal.

Technical challenges are modest and include 2 and 3 draw bends, tongue blocking (optional), and some tricky timing. This lesson pays particularly close attention to that timing, in an effort to help players develop a more sophisticated rhythmic concept.
