His own album, aptly titled "Demonstrably So....", is the definitive Sandy Melrose. It's melody and words all the way: just great songs, which range across styles, each stamped with his distinctive voice.
The feel is a fusion of adult contemporary pop meets country meets rock, spiced with stand-out ballads. Essentially a mix of acoustic and electric, it's occasionally laced with some fine sax and keyboard.
The lyrics are original and intelligent throughout, consistently adding to the texture - provocative, haunting, emotional, hopeful, fun, clever - and inviting you back for repeated listening.
This album has an edge which makes it refuse to lie down and be comfortably labelled, but it's warm enough to go to bed with. You should neither forget nor regret the experience.

Biography notes
Sandy is a working musician with substantial experience.
He was the lead singer and guitarist with the 5-piece rock group Zebra, which toured extensively in the UK and recorded 3 EPs that included several of Sandy's original compositions. He has now left the band but still plays guest appearances with them at the occasional gig.
He is a regular solo acoustic performer on the folk circuit and has recorded an EP of his own songs, "Twist In The Wind". He has performed live on radio and also had his songs playlisted.
Recently his performances have been in duos and he has teamed up with ex-Settlers guitarist Steve Somers and currently with ex-Monkees and ex-Billy Fury bass guitarist Lawrie Hayley.
His main focus is now on his songwriting and his recent collaboration with lyricist Phil Bray has produced the LP "Demonstrably So...." released on the indie Grapedime Music label. It is already receiving airplay internationally.
Sandy is an established indie singer-songwriter with genuine crossover appeal and his songs have the active potential to reach a wider audience through other artists.
