The Mendoza Dance Parti was formed in 1993 and produced several 12-inches specially made for English and French DJ's. Because of winning the audience-award of the Amsterdam Heineken Crossover award, their first album was a major underground jazz-dance success! The band toured through Europe frequently, with highlights in Barcelona, Berlin and ofcourse homebase Amsterdam at Paradiso.

Right now the band just produced their 5th album '5', the follow up to the previous album 'This Life', which can be described as a step back to the roots of Mendoza: groovy funkyness. Some of the best Dutch soulfunk vocalists have contributed to this unique album: Raffaela Herbert, Monique Bakker (Candy Dulfer Band), Linda Bloemhard, Ivar, Lilian Vieira (Zuco 103) and Job Chajes (Amsterdam Klezmer Band).

The new album also has a CD-rom track containing a photo gallery, MP3's of unreleased demostuff and great remixes.
