The Astral Project is a "theme" album based on a book (by Jason's mothers' friend Carol Eby) about her out-of-body experiences. Having never had one of these experiences himself, he found this book really interesting, and was inspired to write this atmospheric synthesizer music to recreate these moments with sound. Jason's influences for this album include Depeche Mode, the Beatles (Magical Mystery Tour & Sgt. Pepper), the Moody Blues (Days of Future Past), various 80's New Wave, J.S. Bach, and Renaissance music.

Includes "the Body I left behind", "In My Mind", "Return to Me" and "Leaving My Body".
