Details:
Metro Blues is a high-energy contemporary blues band from Colorado Springs. The band features strong vocals with hot lead guitar and sax solos. Since forming in 1999, Metro Blues has been performing in clubs throughout Southern Colorado and opened shows for Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, John Mayall, Savoy Brown, Coco Montoya, Bernard Allison, Tab Benoit,Lucky Peterson, Jimmy Thackery, Duke Robillard, Marcia Ball, Debbie Davies and Buddy Guy.

The self-titled Metro Blues CD features the song writing talents of its two founding members Calvin Benton and George Whitesell, who have been performing together since 1989. The songs represent the wide range of musical forms that fall under the name "Blues".

Complimenting the CD are many fine musicians. Grammy winning piano player Dave Innis from the country band Restless Heart performs on all tracks. Dick Cunico from the world wide touring Beatles tribute band "Yesterday" did the horn arrangements for two songs and master harmonica player and studio musician Magic Dave Therault added his talents to the CD's closing song.
