I was born and raised in rural Connecticut, and moved to Boston in the year 2000. But enough about me..."Broke on Monday" is a great C.D. for anyone who has made some dumb choices in their lives and they want to be assured that they're not the only one. I have to say that "Broke on Monday" is best listened to in private through your headphones or in your car driving to work, letting it be a friend to you.
It's not something you throw on to get a party started. Coming up with a list of influences was pretty hard for me.
I figured I'd list the albums I've listened to hundreds of times and still love!
Here it goes: REM "Green", Black Lab "Your Body Above Me", Collective Soul "Dosage", Pearl Jam "Yield", Howie Day "Australia", Van Halen " Fair Warning", and Joe Satrianis 1995 "Self Titled" Album.in addition i love brooding electro stuff like depeche mode and much of peter gabriels entire catalouge.Good stuff!!
I don't think "Broke on Monday" sounds like (or comes close to, truthfully) any of these, but they're great milestones to reach for!
