This manual covers the basic V-71 Diesel Engines built by the Detroit Diesel Corporation.
Complete instructions on operation, adjustment (tune-up), preventative maintenance and lubrication
and repair (including complete overhaul) are covered. This manual was written primarily for persons
servicing and overhauling the engine and in addition all of the instructions essential to the operators and users.
Basic maintenance and overhaul procedures are common to all V-71 engines and therefore apply to all V-71 models.
Almost 1,000 pages of comprehensive, detailed diagrams and procedures.
Covers the following information in the Shop Service Manual:
