Description:

(ID 459988)
This cd is deep thought like a Tupac album, but with a more spiritual edge. Imagine the deepness of Pac, with the positivity of Kanye and a voice like Andre3000.

14 MP3 Songs
HIP HOP/RAP: West Coast Rap, HIP HOP/RAP: Spiritual Rap

Details:
Mighty Joe got into the music business when his cousins Dexter Ansely and Ondreuis Burgie moved to California to write the "Funky Head Hunter" album for MC Hammer. The three cousins converged their talents and created the Deuces. The Deuces grew to become a power in the Bay Area hip-hop scene. They have been featured on several compilations such as Cell Block 1, Murder Dog, and Bay Area Players 2000 in which their song "Getting High As" became a bay area anthem. Several years after Hammer's break from Death Row Records the Deuces released their independent album "Carry Yo State Flag". In 2001, while promoting the album in their home state of Arkansas, Mighty Joe was in a car accident and fractured his skull in two places. After this near death experience Joe moved to Alabama, started Menistry Chronicles and began working on his solo career.

In 2003 Mighty Joe finished his first solo album entitled "Self Evaluation". A release date has not been set but it will be sometime during late summer of 2004. During 2003 Mighty Joe has performed at many different venues across the country, and has done several radio interviews. Look for 2004 to be a break out year for Menistry Chronicles and Mighty Joe.
