Miss Amelia is a character from a Carson McCuller's novella entitled Ballad of the Sad Cafe. Read the novella and discover the effects of her mysterious whiskey. Having only played one gig, the band - Miss Amelia's Whiskey - headlined "Rocktoberfest" at The Bouquet in Boise, Idaho(with radio promotion running on KQXR 100.3 THE X) to a crowd of 300+ people. A few weeks later Miss Amelia's Whiskey headlined a Halloween show at The Mint in Hailey Idaho (Bruce Willis' club next to Sun Valley)sponsored by Jaigermeister and Southern Comfort and brought down the house. The Boise Weekly stated that Miss Amelia's Whiskey is "...on their way to major radio play". Local top 40 station KZMG Magic 93.1 aired the rap-rock crossover single "Ask Me to Battle" on the "Bump It or Dump It" show - a show usually reserved as a testing ground for new releases through major labels - and the public said BUMP IT!!!!
