Details:
For Mission 19, it's graduation time. This Denver, Colorado duo has risen from a successful upbringing while attending college at Colorado State University and is poised to enter the national stage. With a new album, Five Days From Home, their second, released in May 2003, Mission 19 was voted "Best Homegrown Band Headed for the Big-Time" in 5280 Magazine, celebrating the best of Denver. That was right after they were named runnerup in the Rolling Stone/Budweiser True Music Live competition.

Encompassing a wide range of musical influences from rock to jazz, Mission19 spent the last two years playing to enthusiastic crowds throughout Colorado, Wyoming and New Mexico, to Georgia and North Carolina. They've also started to branch out to new markets in the midwest.

Founding members Ryan McConeghy (vocals, lead guitar) and Joe Nolan (vocals, guitar, mandolin) formed Mission19 in Fort Collins, Colorado. The band would go on to record and release their first independent album, Soapbox Superstar, on Jagaball Records in April 1998. The album garnered regular airplay on Fort Collins' FM 107.9 "The Bear" and was warmly received by fans throughout Northern Colorado. Their live show was always an enthusiatic union of artist and audience.

In late 2002 Mission19 returned to a Denver studio to record the follow-up to Soapbox Superstar. Working alongside producer Gannon Kashiwa, Mission19 has developed more catchy hooks, melodies and harmonies, led by songs like "Late Night Phone Calls" and "Vegas."

"These guys have a very bright future - they're young and talented, have great songs and are willing to do the work it takes to make their band a success. I know people are going to love this record," says Kashiwa. The band is excited about the opportunities the new album will bring, as it is "the album we always knew we could make," says McConeghy.
