8 tracks of backbeat funk spit out by a sax-based, trumpet-fronted horn section thickly spiked atop a creative and tasty rhythm section; 4 tracks of controlled, exceptional and untreated jazz guitar trio - one CD. For a good sampling, dial up track 2, The bluesy "Allright" for a sip of the party flavor, calm down a bit with track 7, "Maintenance Man", and burn the rest off with track 11, "Saudade". For the real experience, though, forget the sampling and buy 3 CDs. Put the first in your car, the second in your stereo, and put the third in somebody else's stereo (they'll thank you).

Cameron Mizell, the St. Louis-born guitar player and band leader, studied music at the University of North Texas and Indiana University, and currently resides in Brooklyn, NY. Composed and arranged by Mizell, the album was recorded in two sessions and consists of all first or second takes.
