Freddie Lee's journey has ben an exciting but turbulant one. It is his life experiences that have shaped his music into what it is today.

One of the earliest memories is his biological father leaving home and Freddie and his siblings were left sleeping on cold floors with blankets and sheets, no furniture in the house and very little food. Thank God for Grandma who provided the family with the comfort of her warm home. She fed and looked after the children while her daughter went out to work.

Freddie's mother worked hard to support five children. She picked crops in the fields around Pahokee, Florida famous for its fruits, vegetables, and sugar cane. She also got a second job cleaning houses just to make sure her children had food and clothes. Eventually Freddie's stepfather came into their lives and he made life a lot easier. As he got older, Freddie and his siblings joined his mother and stepfather in the fields picking oranges, beans, and corn. Life was at times rough for the whole family working in the hot sun, fighting with snakes, wasps, spiders, and the thorns of the citrus tree.

Many local people would often ask "what good can come out of Pahokee?" Freddie remembers that some of his school friends died before graduating from High School and others died shortly after. They died from gunshot wounds relating to fights or robberies, stabbings from fighting, or drowning from swimming in the local rock pits even after being warned not to got to dangerous areas. For a while Freddie ran with a bad crowd, until his mother got wind of their playtime activities. She showed him some tough love to put him back on the straight and narrow. As a result Freddie spent most of his free time singing and used music as a form of escapism.

There were good times growing up in Pahokee. Church was where it all happened. There were pcnics, plays, and most of all...SINGING. Freddie thanks God for his Godmother who was director of the Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church youth choir. She made him go to choir practice even when he didn't want to.

Like most children in his area Freddie attended Pahokee High School and joined the choir in his freshman year under the direction of Mr. Keven Boynton "Mr. Boynton was hard on me" says Freddie, "but he taught me to be the best I can be with my voice." Freddie later became part of the marching band 'OD Express' under the direction of Mr. Ollice Davis, Jr. and his brother Marvin Davis where he got his first opportunity to perform before thousands of people.

Freddie went onto college at Florida Memorial University, becoming a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Delta Psi chapter. He gained training from his mentor, the late, great Professor Roosevelt WIlliams, his music and vocal teacher. The Professor spent hours with Freddie and other students who were part of the Florida Memorial Ambassador Chorale Choir to help them learn to appreciate the beauty of singing and to respect their gift from God.

After graduating with degrees in Business Management and Airway Science, with minors in Sociology and Education. Freddie worked as a teacher of History and Social Studies in elementary and high school education.

Then came a call from a friend looking for a group to go to Spain. Freddie jumped at the chance and quickly packed his bags. Working as a singer, choreographer, and show producer with his group ACES, Freddie had the time of his life. He worked in Spain, Holland, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Italy and England.

While living in Spain a representative of the legendary producers Gamble and Huff flew to see him. They asked Freddie to leave his singing group but out of loyalty to his friends, Freddie declined.

Seeing more adventure Freddie and ACES left Spain for London, England. In 2002 Freddie got the shock of his life when he discovered that one of his friends and colleagues had been stealing from their company account. This was the moment that Freddie walked away from someone he had sacrificed so much for. He lost $175,000 but he walked away believing that somehow God would make a way for him to survive. With the breakup of ACES, Freddie had to cancel all of their tour contracts. He had no work and became homeless in the UK. He slept in his car and took showers in rest areas. He confided in so-called friends about his situation and they turned their backs on him, avoiding him in case he asked for anything. However, there were a faithful few who helped get him back on his feet. Freddie says "you know who your friends are when all of your money is gone."

BEYOND COMPREHENSION the debut album, is the personal journey from the beginning to where he is today. It is the story of Freddie Lee.
