SLIPPING MICKEYS is the name that Arkansas native Tymm Hill chose for his latest project. You may be asking yourself, "if this is a solo record...why doesn't he just use his own name"? We wondered the same thing and here was his response:

"I really wasn't looking to promote myself. I just wanted to make music, so I decided to be a little creative and come up with a name that was fun. I think alot of artist are more interested in promoting themselves than they are their music. That's why you won't see my picture any where on the album. I want people to like the music for what it is".

You hear of a lot of different artist making so called solo records, but in reality usually turns out to be a group effort with only one persons name and picture on the front of the cover. Every song on this album was written, arranged, and produced by Tymm without the aid of anyone. This is a true solo effort.

Listening to the album you would never guess that his influences are from groups like RUSH, KING'S X, SAGA, and ZEBRA. Tymm enjoys a wide range of music from 80's bands like A-HA, BIG COUNTRY, INXS, and TEARS FOR FEARS to heavier bands like AC/DC, DIO, JUDAS PRIEST, and OZZY just to name a few. He is into Modern Rock as well and enjoys checking out all the new groups. He said he doesn't like to categorize his own style of music, he just writes what he is feeling at the time. This allows him the freedom to satisfy his diverse taste in music.
