Skaie Knox is a singer/songwriter and a first-time childrenâs book author who resides with her husband, Matt in Manhattan Beach, California. Her upcoming projects, events, and full catalogue of kids songs can be found @ www.bigbuglunch.com. âBig Bug Lunch!â is book 1 in a series of 10 called âThe Klunker Kapersâ. The title track âBig Bug Lunch!â was initially written on the pages of a Readerâs Digest; makeshift writing material found on her bedside table. The song came about because Skaie wanted to write an original tune for her cousin Pamâs kindergarten class. Her immediate goals are to promote her book & CD and to secure a publishing deal with a creatively supportive and established publishing house.

Skaieâs musical career includes performing live (opening for artists like Tori Amos, Dishwalla, Lilith Faire, Randy Newman), writing and recording numerous albums and songs (bands, film (American Crime, Black Dahlia Returns) & television-(MTVâs Making the Video, Punkâd, The Real World), touring nationally and throughout Canada and Africa, and music directing live theatre in Hollywood, CA (Shakespeareâs âMidsummer Nightâs Dreamâ, âTwelfth Nightâ).

Skaie is passionate about dogs and plans to create a foundation to fund K-9 rescue organizations throughout the U.S.A. âKlunkersâ, the narrator of this book, was rescued through âMutts & Momsâ (www.muttsandmoms.org) a non-profit organization that visits LA & Kern County shelters and rescues dogs that just had puppies and those that may need medical care to heal from previous illnesses or injuries.
