"Victims or Creators?" was composed, produced and recorded by Matt Checker in his studio. This CD comes from a wish to inspire people to follow their dreams and lead big lives connected to others and the planet. This was sparked off by his love for nature leading to adventures including environmental expeditions to save theatened Ecuadorian forests or being locked up by the Edinburgh police for helping to confiscate Mahogany-products from a renowned timber merchant as stolen property (from native peoples' reserves)!

Matt comes from the U.K. and now lives in Munich, Germany, where he has been involved with various musical genres performing Flamenco, Russian folk, Brazilian popular, Celtic, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Reggae, Funk and Blues. He has played with Bavarian comedy- and world-music celebrity, Willy Astor in some of the biggest and best-known venues in and around Munich, with associated TV recordings and several CD productions. He teaches guitar and has composed for film, theater, dance and multimedia, demonstrating notable arrangement skills and talent for melodies combining hooks and grooves with depth and sincerity.

His main passion on guitar is Flamenco. He hopes to get round to finishing works of this style for further recordings as well as a new Spiral CD as soon as possible

Matt's band, Spiral started performing in the Munich area in 2007 and takes on different forms - sometimes solo, sometimes with bass and/or percussion. Audiences have been consistently enthusiastic. The journey continues.
