Description:

(ID 463555)
This is really cool rock and roll with a
nod to the past and a flare of the present.
Lot of great melodies.

14 MP3 Songs
ROCK: 60's Rock, POP: 60's Pop

Details:
Melodies! These songs actually have medodic statements built on great chords. Mike Shapiro is the master of the simple concise musical statement made famous in the Fifties and Sixties. He is also the co-composer of the famous cult
classic Swami by the Willian Penn V.
Have you ever asked yourself why nobody has made more of that music that you loved in the 50's and 60's? Mike did! And that is what this CD, Deja Vu, is all about. Not a rip-off but more of a tribute to those great and well crafted songs with wonderful chord progressions, harmony and rhythms.
Do you crave more of that Sun Records material in the beginning Elvis's career? A Little Bit Of Love on Deja Vu covers that. What about some more early Beatles? Come On and It's Up To You on Deja Vu covers that. Like Chuck Berry? Listen to Home Free and get some more of that great Rock and Roll. By the way Home Free is now getting airplay on KPOO 93.7 in San Francisco.
All the songs on Deja Vu are written to be like songs that might have been recorded in that era. There is only one
catch: It was recorded in 2000. But was recorded on 24 track 2" Analog Tape for that
thick 60s sound. Sorry... it had to be put it on a CD cause not that many people have phonographs anymore. Think of it as a treasure-trove of undiscovered recordings from the 50s/60s that was lost and recently found. To much hype. I don't think so. It's that good.
