Born and befriended in Little Rock, Arkansas, they have moved around the countryâsix cities in six yearsâauditioning the music scenes and trying out their blend of indie pop jazz jam math rock. After randomly meeting fellow Arkansan James Mayer in the Southeast quintant, the three decided to explore the subtler, southerner nuances of rock and roll, while incorporating exotic instruments and nontraditional arrangements into their pop songs. With the addition of the percussive brilliance of Chaz Hastings, the foursome is duly aligned to slay the glumly stodginess of Portland's winter trappings, and slyly proffer tuneage to its denizens.
