At the tender age of 19, Stefan Paul George seeks to take the music world by storm. Teaching himself to play guitar in the eighth grade, Stefan has not stopped. Having played the saxophone since he was 10, and traveling internationally for jazz, Stefan incorporates his love for jazz and varying melodies in all of his songs. Stefan is influenced heavily by acoustic artists and powerful songwriters, as well as jazz. The emphasis Stefan puts on his lyrics, outweighs the rest of the music. Stefan loves the likes of David Gray, The Counting Crows, and Ben Folds, and Dave Matthws. He finds his tastes in melody from jazz and being open minded in all the music he hears.
He first started writing songs in junior high and tries to forget his early experiences. Recording his songs on a 50 pound single track recorder he lugged from the music room of his school, Stefan began making CDs for his parents and friends in high school.
On Stefan's 18th birthday he traveled to Tacoma Washington, to record his first album "Explore" in a professional studio. Stefan recorded all eleven songs on this album in less than 10 hours.
"Explore was something I had to get out. Songs I had stuck in my head that needed to be put on a disc before I could do anything else. I sort of explored when writing and recording this album and I feel that I have never been more ready to continue and do even bigger things."
During the fall of 2007, Stefan moved to Seattle Washington and is now attending school at the University of Washington. Stefan hopes that being in Seattle will help take his musical influences and skills to another level.
Stefan Paul George released his second full length album "Everywhere Always," this fall and is ready to show the world his songs.
