Slovakia-born, New Jersey based singer-songwriter, Miriam Stavola, writes in English and her native Slovak language. Switching from classical piano to rhythm guitar unleashed her writing skills in her own style of acoustic rock with a twist of folk and country blues. She is mostly a recording artist, spare on public performances, who always finds her way to the studios of the best instrumentalists.

The featured CD was recorded in 2003 in her home town in central Slovakia with her old buddies - guitarists Richard Guzak, Jozef Sedlacko, guitar and harmonica player Jozef Chlupecky, drummer Peter Cvengros and bluegrass guitar and fiddle player Tono Smatana.
