The Stetson Family are a bunch of knock-about musicians hailing from Melbourne Australia, who just happen to all live in the same city and share a love of bluegrass and many other forms of rootsie/folkie kinda music. Luckily we also play the instruments that go along with the music we like - and quick as a flash, whatdoyouknow, we got ourselves a band! (Well that's cutting a long story short really.........but anyway........next thing you know we've recorded and produced our debut record/EP "HEY SISTER MARY, WHERE'D YOU GET THAT GUN?". We were chuffed to have it finished in time to launch at this year's National Country Music Muster in Gympie, Queensland. We were also delighted to have Jordie Lane, Liz Stringer & Sharin Anderson, some of Melbourne's finest musician/singer/songwriters come along to the studio and lend a BV or bit of dobro on a couple of tracks. Pretty much though what you hear on the record is what we do live - hope you like it!
